General Position Summary
Performs professional correctional and program casework; supervising and managing activities of adult felony offenders for the corrections department. This position involves the participation and application of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, wellness informed, client centered approach to assist individuals in achieving their goals.
Qualifications

  • Education, Certification, & Experience
    • QMHA or a Bachelor’s degree and ability to certify as a QMHA within one year of hire date
    • Oregon Driver's License
    • Certified in First Aid, CPR, and LEDS or ability to within one year of hire date
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word and Excel Word Processing software.

Salary and Benefits
This is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a wage range of $ 27.00 - $ 35.14 per hour. The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year. Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work Schedule
The normal work schedule is 8 hours per day 5 days per week; exact schedules are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work. Full or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.
